When glycerin in used lotions or other skin care products, it helps prevent or combat dry skin.   If you have dry facial skin, research organic or vegetable glycerin which may be topically applied to help cure dryness. Glycerin Benefits

Moisturizes Skin

  • Glycerin is a very effective moisturizer on skin. It absorbs water from air reducing dry and dull patches on your skin.  Your skin gets soft, supple and hydrated immediately on application. It adds hydration and health to your skin.

Smooths Skin

  • As your skin ages, it looks dull and becomes susceptible to irritation, redness and many other conditions, such as dry skin due to losing its ability to keep moisture. With aging, your skin also gets rough – but using glycerin regularly can make your skin smooth by filling in tiny cracks and prevent other problems associated with dryness.

Maintains Water Balance

  • Humectants in glycerin attract water from air and keep water in your skin. Glycerin minimizes water loss due to evaporation and maintains skin’s water balance on an intercellular level– so keeps skin well hydrated and nourished.

Nourishes Skin

  • Because of its skin nourishing properties, glycerin can be used every day.  Its regular use will help keep your skin healthy, soft and fresh.  It is especially great to use in the winter time to help combat winter chill.

Enhances Skin Appearance

  • Glycerin acts as an emollient that keeps your skin not only moist, but soft and supple to touch. It makes your skin look healthier and attractive. Its therapeutic effects on wounds and other skin issues also lead your skin to look healthier and smoother.

Heals Skin

  • Glycerin can help cells grow thus helping skin heal. Glycerin also acts as a natural medication for fungal infections like eczema and psoriasis.  It reduces bruising and repairs infected tissue and cells more quickly.

Protects Skin

  • Glycerin increases epidermal layer thickness and improves barrier function. It locks moisture in helping to keep harmful chemicals and environmental elements out of your skin.

Get a more attractive, natural-looking appearance by adding glycerin into your skin routine.

Can it cause pimples on oily skin? I have oily skin and little bit pimples. I am appling glycerin of three drops and rose date and wash in morning. After 3 days I have a pimples more in my face? So it cause acne or not

Hi Amina,

I wouldn’t recommend using the Makari Glyercins on your face. These are body only products with fragrance that could irritate your face.

Hey, try pure glycerin from a cvs (their brand Beauty360 ) it should be in the beauty isle it’s fragrance free & can be used on face or body daily

Hi,

Natural or Vegetable glycerins are safe to use on the face and body. Makari’s glycerins are not all natural therefore we do not recommend them to be used on the face.

Hi,

Glycerins can help restore moisture to dry skin but due to the sensitivity of skin from psoriasis, I wouldn’t recommend using an advanced lightening glycerin formula. You may want to try a vegetable or natural glycerin to help soothe skin and if you want to help treat discolorations from psoriasis, then use a gentle, toning serum, cream or lotion from our Naturalle collection.

Yes, you should be able to use a pure vegetable oil under the eyes for dark circles (do not apply near the eye) and wrinkles. You can also use Sweet Almond Oil as well.

Everyone’s skin is different therefore the reactions to Glycerin may be different. The Makari Glycerins are formulated for skin lightening therefore they should not darken the skin. However, if the skin is sensitive to our ingredients, the skin may have adverse reactions that could ultimately cause the appearance of the skin to darken.

Hi, can you tell me, can I use glycerin to make skin clear and glowing. And can I use it all over night night alone.

The Makari glycerins have lightening ingredients in them and can be used alone or with the beauty/toning milk. But as they are advanced lightening formulas, I suggest you adhere to the 3x per week or less usage recommendations and they are not for sensitive skin types unless you’re using the Carotonic Glycerin.

I’ve black heads on my nose and chicks. Can i use glycerine+rosewater to get rid of my blackheads? Reply me please

Makari glycerin’s are not recommended for sensitive skin therefore if you have allergic reactions, I wouldn’t recommend. You may want to try the Makari Bebe Almond Oil as it is for all skin types, especially delicate & sensitive skin.

Glycerin is Very cheap and effective I use it on my eyes with ghee butter
It prevents darkness and dryness

Is there anything besides glycerine that can cure acne cause glycerine didn’t cure my acne problem.

Products that have ingredients specific to acne such as salicylic acid, sulfur, willow bark, tea tree oil, etc. You should also determine the cause of your acne as it could be hormonal, due to dehydration, diet, etc.

Yes, our glycerins can help soften feet as well as help lighten discolorations. A great thing to try is to wrap feet in plastic wrap after applying glycerin. Then put on a pair of thick socks and wear for a few hours or sleep overnight.

Is it okay to mix glycerin oil with other oils like tea tree oil and lavender oil and apply it to my face?

I was going to buy glycerine but then i read this. is this true?
Collagen is built from lipids. So, your skin needs lipids to remain looking young and firm. Glycerin robs your skin of its lipids, removing them when you remove the product off your skin. Instead of helping your skin, Glycerin deprives it of much needed lipids and we see the collagen levels drop, creating wrinkles and sagging.

They absorb so much alcohol in the form of Glycerin through their skin, that their organs cannot handle it.

Usually, when we have a glass of wine or a cocktail, the alcohol is eventually broken down to sugars by our liver and is rendered safe. The alcohol we absorb through our skin, and then carried by our blood to all the different organs in the body, poisoning them with unprocessed alcohol. Let’s also remember that Glycerin is much stronger than regular alcohol.

Hi, how should I know if the glycerin used in st ives collagen and elastin is vegetal? I love how it works, but the listed ingredientes just said glycerin and soy, thank you.

Our Glycerin is advanced lightening so I’m not sure if you should use during your pregnancy. Maybe you should try the Natural Carotonic Glycerin (in market only) or Extreme Argan & Carrot Botanical Body Oil.

Can I use glycerin that I found in the baking isle? Is it the same? The only ingredient is glycerin and Its slightly sticky and sweet.

Thanks for the beautiful article well said because when glycerin in utilized moisturizers or other healthy skin items, it counteracts or battle dry skin. On the off chance that you have dry facial skin, inquire about natural or vegetable glycerin which might be topically connected to help fix dryness. A few people additionally blend glycerin with regular rosewater to make a glycerin toner shower to revive dry skin.
